For your parents this is the hardest reality they will ever have to endure, may they find solace in the fact that you are no longer in pain, and have gained your wings and freedom from the shackles of life. One day you will greet them with open arms to eternal paradise.

For your siblings, memories of time spent together is all they have left, may they seek comfort in those memories, good or bad, for they help you to live on, and remind them of times spent together, all of which were precious.

For your son, this will hit him in time, when he looks for you at every grand event in his life, may he realize you are there in spriit and he is never alone. He will live on to continue your legacy, which was taken from you much too soon.

For your friends, who will now face their own mortality, and know that this life is more precious than ever, they will miss you more than they expect because friends are the family we choose.

Allan, we didn’t know you well, but I imagine you as a boisterous, fun loving angel stirring the pot with your new wings. Visit often, in a song, or a whisper in the wind, your family will need to know that you still exist.
