It is with deep love and heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Ernestine Condo, who left this world peacefully at home on February 22, 2026, surrounded by those who cherished her. Ernestine was born on April 1, 1943, in Listuguj, Quebec, and lived a life defined by generosity, strength, humour, and unwavering devotion to her family.
Ernestine leaves behind her loving husband, Wales Condo, with whom she built a lifetime of memories and a home filled with warmth. She will be forever missed by her children, Brenda and Mark, who carry forward her teachings, her kindness, and her spirit.
She is predeceased by her parents, Mary Martin Condo and Albert Condo, as well as many beloved siblings: brothers Lindsey, Sweeney, John, Anthony, Aldrick, and Barney, and sisters Mary, Ila, Emma, and Serena. She is survived by her sister Janie.
Ernestine is also reunited with her sons Johnny and Raymond, her grandson Jazz, and her granddaughter Lismary, all of whom she held close in her heart throughout her life.
She leaves behind a large and loving family who will continue to honour her memory: her grandchildren Melissa, Jonathan, Jeremy, Melanie, Nicolas, Dakota, and Andrea; her great-grandchildren Tatum, Jazaya, Carmelo, Fabian, Elian, Elijah, Yvette, and Jayden; and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins whom she cherished deeply.
Ernestine also shared a close bond with her niece and nephew, Josh and Hope, whom she lovingly raised as her own. Their children and grandchildren — Joy, Faith, Storm, Codey, Joliane, and Christopher — were embraced by her as part of her growing circle of grandchildren.
Known for her generosity, humour, and the gentle strength she carried through every chapter of her life, Ernestine touched countless people with her warmth and wisdom. Her presence was a blessing, and her absence leaves a space that can never be filled.
