It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Douglas Martin which occurred at Maria Hospital on Friday, April 17, 2026 at the age of 78 years.

Predeceased by his father Albert Martin, mother Bertha Caplin, son Dean, daughter Virginia, and son Scott.

He leaves behind his beloved wife Betty Condo, son Nelson (Tanya). Johanne (Peter), his grandchildren Shawn, Terry, Vanessa,
Perry, Christiane and Christina, also many great-grandchildren. His brother Alister (Veronica) and his aunt Maggie, as well as many other family members and friends.

The family will receive condolences at the Henri Thibodeau Funeral Home, New Richmond on Tuesday, April 21, 2026.
Visiting hours will be from 2 p.m to 4 p.m and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Funeral will be held at the Kateri Tekawitha Mission in Gesgapegiag on Thursday, April 23, 2026 at 11 a.m.

Burial will take place at a later date.

Professional services have been entrusted to the Henri Thibodeau Home Inc., a subsidiary of HG Division network certified Distinction by the Corporation des Thanatologue du Québec and by the Bureau de Normalisation de Québec.

The management and staff of HG Division offer their deepest condolences to the family and thank them for their trust.
