It is with great sadness that the family of Elaine Goulet (nee Hyde) of New Richmond, Quebec, announce her passing on June 8th, 2022 at the age of 86 years after a short illness.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, Paul as well as her two daughters Susan Sonier (Maurice) of Calgary, AB and Diane DesRoches (Rheal Melanson) of Dieppe, NB; her grandchildren Natalie Leclerc (Adam), Danielle Sonier and Alex DesRoches (Julie); 2 great-grandchildren Madeleine and Amelia as well as her sister-in-law, Raymonde Brown (Kingston, ON).
Elaine had a great love for her family and she will be dearly missed.
Her family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at l’Hôpital de Maria who cared for her.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home. The funeral service will be celebrated at New Richmond’s Catholic Church on Monday, June 13th, 2022 at 11:00 AM.
The family will receive condolences at the church one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in Elaine’s memory to La Grande Traversée de Simon (Fondation Santé Baie-des-Chaleurs) would be greatly appreciated. Donations will be used to set up a palliative care home in Baie-des-Chaleurs.
Professional services have been entrusted to the Henri Thibodeau Funeral Home Inc. a subsidiary of the HG Division network certified Distinction by the Corporation des thanatologues du Quebec and by the Bureau de normalisation du Quebec.
