It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Jim MacDonald at his home in Cascapedia-St-Jules on June 4th, 2026. at the age of 83.
He was the son of Ivy Doddridge MacDonald and Angus MacDonald.
He will be forever remembered and deeply missed by his life partner Louise MacWhirter, his daughter Cindy MacDonald, grandchildren Jayde Piggott, Jack Piggott (Hannah), Laine Piggott, great-granddaughter Margot Piggott, mother of his daughter Patricia Duthie. His sister Jeannie MacDonald, cousins Nancy Doddridge, Eugene Willett and his life long friend Brian Cormier as well as many other family members and friends.
Jim was kind and good with the most positive and pleasant demeanour. He had a warm smile and joyful laugh that brought happiness to those around him that will forever echo in our hearts. We are grateful for the time we shared with him, and will always cherish the precious memories he leaves behind. " Le beau Jim "
