Sylvine ( Mallet ) Smith, 76, died April 24,2021 at the CHSLD in New-Carlisle.
Born June 7 th,1944 in Shippagan New-Brunswick ( one of 16 children) the daughter of Gervais Mallet and Albertine Savoie.
Sylvine arrived in New-Carlisle at the age of 21 to work as a telephone operator at Quebec telephone. Within a year she met Oscar Smith and eventually married and settled in New-Carlisle. Over the years she owned the Curb, the Cantine on the beach and fostered numerous adults in her home. She had 2 children as well as 2 granddaughters that she loved dearly. She will be remembered for her kindness and generosity, her famous meat pies that she shared with family members, her love of music, bingo, card games with her friends and time spent with family.
She is predeceased by her daughter Monique. She is survived by her husband of 55 years Oscar Smith, her daughter Nicole, granddaughters Madison and Mallory Tritt, son in laws Brian Crozier and Max Tritt, her remaining brothers and sisters along with numerous nieces,nephews, cousins, and friends ( especially her card friend, you know who you are ).
There will be no funeral services at this time..
