Sheila Brake Fessenden

Sheila Brake Fessenden

May 9, 1939 - April 2, 2026

It is with deep love and sadness that the family of Sheila Brake Fessenden announces her passing at her home in Black Cape on April 2, 2026, at the age of 86.

Predeceased in 2020 by her husband of 56 years, James "Butch" Fessenden, Sheila was the daughter of Violet Enright (1916-2012) and Robert "Robin" Brake (1905-1981), and the sister of Roderic (1935-2011), Bryan (1942-2021) and Barry. She leaves behind her children, Matt, Kim, Tammy, Randy and their spouses; grandchildren, Wyatt, Cole, Jordan, Sophie, Emma, Peter, James, Jazmin, Jade; and great-grandchildren, Jaycee, Haylee, Zoey, Atlas. Nana was a devoted and proud grandmother as well as a beloved aunt, friend and neighbour. She and Papa created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and unconditional love - memories that will be cherished forever.

We are very grateful for the care and support that we have found in our community; in particular, Dr. Bazinet and the staff at the CLSC in Caplan.

She will be deeply missed and always remembered. A service celebrating the lives of mom and dad will be held at a later date.

With much love, Kim and Tammy
